Project Story

Until mass production start

2In September 2023, the third generation of the Honda N-BOX, "the best-selling car in Japan," went on sale. It is a popular car with accumulated units sold totaling more than 2.3 million units since its first generation release.
The Front Seat of the N-BOX has been consistently supplied by TACHI-S since the first generation. The development of the third-generation N-BOX was carried out in a unique way called "Constitutional Evolution Activity" led by the customer, with each supplier taking the lead in improving on the points needed to be addressed in the second generation. Because of the fact that the development of the third-generation N-BOX was carried out during the pandemic period, it was difficult for the team to confirm the actual product on site, which was to be expected before. Thanks to the cooperation of the Suzuka Plant, related departments, and suppliers, we managed to achieve the start of the mass production. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who cooperated with us.

After the mass-production launch

The third generation new N-BOX launched in September 2023 with the aim of "providing a happy time to all passengers". The N-BOX has been No. 1 seller the among minicars in Japanese domestic market and is one of the most popular Honda cars. We were able to meet the demands of our customers in terms of seating comfort, safety, appearance quality, and cost target, while meeting new regulations with minimal changes.
The successful start of mass production was made possible thanks to the strong cooperation of all related departments, the Suzuka Plant, and suppliers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parties involved again. We look forward to your continued cooperation in the development of the next generation of vehicles.
