In-house system engineer at an automobile company was a true calling, just as I had hoped it would be.

My mother is a big car enthusiast, and since I was a little girl, it has been a staple in our family that she drives when we go out as a family.
I have always had a very good impression of cars because I loved to ride in them and play with them.
The reasons for joining the company were that I could be involved in the automotive industry and that it was close to my home.
Then I learned that Tachi-S was looking for someone in the Information Systems Department, and I immediately decided to apply.
I have been working as an SE since I joined the company and currently manage and operate the internal portal site and chatbot, as well as the internal IT help desk.
In my work, I often respond to inquiries from within the company, such as "My computer is broken" or "I can't browse the portal site." At first, I would say "I'll call back" and check with my supervisor before answering, but as the years went by, I found that I could answer more questions on my own, and I realized that I was becoming more competent.

What I pay attention to in my work is to choose words that are easy for others to understand.
Since each employee's IT literacy level is different, we are conscious of teaching carefully so that even those who are not very familiar with computers can understand.
One of the systems I proposed to my supervisor and was adopted is a chatbot for internal use.
We often handle confidential information internally, so we are concerned about using an external chatbot system.
Therefore, a system was devised specifically for internal use.
Many employees are now making use of the system, and the appreciation we receive from them for its ease of use and thankfulness encourages us in our work.
I feel that the job of SE requires me to constantly incorporate new technologies, so I need to have a place to study apart from my work.
While attending monthly IT seminars outside the company and reading books to learn, I asked myself, "Is there any tool that can make our business more efficient? What is the most convenient system for employees? and "What is the most convenient system for employees?

Juggling family caregiving and work. Convenient to work at your own pace

Currently, I work from home 70-80% of the time due to caring for my family.
I sometimes go shopping during my lunch break, which is very helpful because it is easy for me to balance work and private life.

How to spend the holidays

On weekends and holidays, I have dinner with friends and play online games at ....... I also love going to theme parks, music festivals, and live concerts, and I think I am good at switching on and off.

Message to applicants for employment

In-house system engineer is easy to work in because you can work at your own pace, but on the other hand, you have to manage your own tasks, so I try to prioritize in my work.
The Information Technology Department is a back office, so it is not a prominent job, but it is important work that supports the company's infrastructure.
In particular, since this work is directly related to improving the work environment for employees, I would like to see people who find such behind-the-scenes work rewarding join our ranks.
