1954	Apr.	Established Tachikawa Spring Co., Ltd. in Tachikawa-shi, Tokyo.
1959	Sep.	Relocated head office and plant to Akishima-shi, Tokyo.
1961	Apr.	Established Tachikawa Hatsujou Co., Ltd. (currently TACHI-S H&P Co., Ltd.) in Akishima-shi, Tokyo.
1969	Apr.	Established Ome Plant in Ome-shi, Tokyo.

1970’s

Tachikawa Kogyo Co., Ltd.

Aichi Plant

1971	Oct.	Established Nihon Pullmaflex Co., Ltd. (later TACHI-S Parts Co., Ltd.) in Ome-shi, Tokyo.
1973	Mar.	Received capital investment from NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD., Hino Motors, Ltd., and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (All three companies subsequently disposed of all holdings).
1976	Feb.	Established a joint company, Kinryo Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Miyako-gun, Fukuoka.
1976	Aug.	Established Tachikawa Kogyo Co., Ltd. (currently Nui Tec Corporation) in Hiraga-gun Omori-machi (currently Yokote-shi), Akita.
1977	Apr.	Established Aichi Plant in Anjo-shi, Aichi.

1980’s

Changed the company name to TACHI-S CO., LTD.

TACHI-S Engineering U.S.A., Inc.

Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange

1980	Jan.	Established Musashi Plant in Iruma-shi, Saitama.
1982	Feb.	Established Tochigi Plant in Kokubunji-machi, Shimotsuga-gun, (currently Shimotsuke-shi) Tochigi.
1982	Jul.	Established Hiratsuka Plant in Hiratsuka-shi, Kanagawa.
1984	Oct.	Established Suzuka Plant in Suzuka-shi, Mie.
1986	Apr.	Changed the company name to TACHI-S CO., LTD.
	Jul.	Established TACHI-S Engineering U.S.A., Inc. in Michigan, U.S.A.
	Nov.	Established a joint company, TechnoTrim, Inc. in Michigan, U.S.A.
	Dec.	Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1987	Sep.	Established a joint company, SETEX, Inc. in Ohio, U.S.A.
1987	Oct.	TACHI-S Service Co., Ltd. started business operation in Akishima-shi,Tokyo.

1993	Mar.	Opened Technical Center in Ome-shi, Tokyo.
1999	Aug.	Opened Technical Center Aichi in Anjo-shi, Aichi. Concluded a capital tie-up with Fuji Kiko Co., Ltd.

	Aug.	Established a join company, Lear DFM TACHI-S Automotive Seating (Dalian) Co., Ltd. in Dalian, Liaoning, China.
	Oct.	Established TACHI-S Trim Wuhan Co.,Ltd. in Wuhan, Hubei, China.
2014	Apr.	A joint company, TACLE Seating U.S.A., LLC and TACLE Seating Thailand Co., Ltd. became TACHI-S wholly owned subsidiary companies due to a change in the capital contribution ratio. TACLE Seating U.S.A., LLC was changed to TACHI-S Automotive Seating U.S.A., LLC and TACLE Seating Thailand Co., Ltd. was changed to TACHI-S Automotive Seating (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
2015	Dec.	Established TACHI-S Engineering Zhengzhou Co., Ltd. in Zhengzhou, Henan, China.
2016	Mar.	Made equity investment in Tachikawa Hatsujou Co., Ltd.
2016	Nov.	Established a joint company, APM TACHI-S Seating Systems Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Da Nang, Vietnam.
2017	Mar.	Business Collaboration with TOYOTA BOSHOKU CORPORATION.
2017	Oct.	Acquired all shares of TF-METAL Co., Ltd. which succeeds to seat business of Fuji Kiko Co., Ltd. by Absorption-type Company Split. (TF-METAL and its 8 subsidiaries became TACHI-S wholly owned subsidiary comnay; TF-METAL Iwata Co., Ltd.,TF-METAL Kyushu Co., Ltd.,TF-METAL Higashi Mikawa Co., Ltd.,TF-METAL Americas Corporation,TF-METAL U.S.A., LLC,TF-METAL Mexico, S.A. de C.V.,Fuji Autotech Guangzhou Co., Ltd.(Now selling all interests),Zhejiang Fu Chong Tai Automotive Parts Co., Ltd.(Now integrated into TF-METAL ZHEJIANG CO,.)）

2022	Nov.	Established a joint company, Uno Minda TACHI-S Seating Private Limited, in Delhi, India.
2022	Dec.	Closed Hiratsuka Plant and moved to Musashi Plant. Head office to the Technology Monozukuri Center and changed head office location to Ome-shi, Tokyo.
